Key highlights:
• Strategic partnership: Agreement executed between EAU Lithium and VULTEC
(Vulcan Energy Resources Limited’s German technology subsidiary)
• Comprehensive scope: MSA covers engineering feasibility studies, geothermal
power integration studies, DLE process optimisations, by-product opportunities
(Mg, K) and future plant operations and training support, as well as pilot plant
mobilisation, installation, transport and commissioning, and market
development and offtake support.
• German technology: Agreement formalises access to the team and expertise
behind the world-class VULSORB technology and VULTEC’s broader engineering
support in Germany, with VULTEC responsible for technology provision, process
design, sorbent supply, and A-DLE system performance.
• Advanced technology: Leverages the German VULTEC team supporting the
roll-out of VULSORB® A-DLE closed-loop technology to process complex brines
with a minimal environmental footprint (consistent with the licence agreement
already signed between Vulcan Energie Ressourcen GmbH and EAU Lithium).
• Collaboration: The MSA is additionally designed to encourage collaboration and
transparency as part of its philosophical foundation for technical collaboration,
as well as commitments to align with any environmental protection and
community consultation requirements.
Chairman, James Durrant, comments:
"We're pleased to formalise this partnership with VULTEC, the German subsidiary of
Vulcan Energy Resources Limited, having worked closely with them over an
extended period to reach this point.
VULTEC is backed by a world-renowned team of experts in chemistry, engineering
and geology, and their VULSORB® technology underpins one of Europe's most
advanced lithium extraction projects. Their deep technical expertise and proven
track record make them an outstanding partner, and this agreement gives us a
strong operational foundation as we continue advancing our strategy."
ASX RELEASE | 13 August 2026 | ASX:C1X
Cosmos Exploration Limited (ASX: C1X) (“Cosmos” or “the Company”) is pleased to
report that its subsidiary, EAU Lithium Pty Ltd, has executed the second of two critical
Master Services Agreements (MSAs). These contracts together secure any future
engineering and technical services required to advance its lithium aspirations in Bolivia.
This strategic agreement has been signed with VULTEC GmbH (the German technology
subsidiary of Vulcan Energy Resources Limited (ASX:VUL)) (VULTEC) and follows the
signing of an MSA with CONSTRUCCIONES SEPCON S.R.L. (one of Bolivia’s leading
Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) firms) (SEPCON).
Advancing the strategy
The two MSAs give the Company a full operational suite. VULTEC will oversee technology
integration, including optimisation testing of synthesised brine samples at its active
German facility, geothermal studies and broader, technology support - in keeping with
the technology licencing agreement already in place – as well as future operational
support. Concurrently, SEPCON will be ready to provide multidisciplinary engineering,
field logistics, and construction services within Bolivia.
